Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-December 2021, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 451.6 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production compared to the same period in 2020 amounted to 108.7%.
In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (83.0%), the volume of production of which amounted to 375.0 trillion soums.
The main factors behind the growth in the physical volume of industrial production were its increase in the mining industry by 10.7%, manufacturing - by 8.2%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 13.0%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-December 2021 amounted to 42.9 trillion soums, or 9.5% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 2.7% (2.0% in January-December 2020), medium-tech - 20.1% (22.4%), medium-low-tech - 39.4% (39.9%) and low-tech - 37.7% (35.7%).
In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products amounted to 17.6% (the index of physical volume by January-December 2020 was 105.4%), metallurgical industry - 25.7% (volume index by January-December 2020 amounted to 108.1%), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 17.8% (volume index by January-December 2020 amounted to 118.5%), for the production of food, beverages and tobacco products - 16.8% (the index of physical volume by January-December 2020 was 106.2%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 9.4% (the index of physical volume by JanuaryDecember 2020 amounted to 104.6%).
In January-December 2021, 1.1 million tons of motor gasoline were produced in the republic (an increase of 8.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), 709.0 thousand tons of cotton yarn (an increase of 29.5%), 232.7 million liters of beer (an increase of 0.1%) and 1 813.4 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelt (a decrease of 6.9%).
In January-December 2021, 3 979 trucks were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, the volume of production decreased by 4.4%).
In January-December 2021, 1 003 buses were produced in the republic (an increase in production by 56.2% was noted by the corresponding period of 2020).
In January-December 2021, 160.4 thousand pieces of car engines were produced in the republic (a decrease of 27.9% compared to the corresponding period of 2020).
In January-December 2021, 213 tractors were produced in the republic (by January-December 2020, the volume of production decreased by 68.4%).
In January-December 2021, 383 pieces of rippers and cultivators were produced in the republic (a decrease in production by 43.4% was recorded by the corresponding period of 2020).
In January-December 2021, the machine-building industry produced 759.7 thousand batteries (an increase of 1.1% was recorded against the corresponding period in 2020).
In the automotive industry, in January-December 2021, 71 082 Cobalt vehicles were produced (-11%), 31 466 - Nexia (-52.6%), 51 061 - Gentra (+2.0%), 55 068 - Damas (+6.5%), 9 915 - Spark (-56.9%) and 17 308 - Labo (+91.8%).
The overhaul of technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production figures of the previous year for the production of methyl alcohol (by 7.0 times by January-December 2020). At the same time, there is a decrease in the production of paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (90.7%) and caustic soda (96.9%).
If in 2020 the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 26.0%, and the volume index increased by 7.7%, then in January-December 2021, the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry amounted to 25.7%, the volume index increased by 8.1%, while the volume of production amounted to 96 545.1 billion soums.
In 2020, the share of production of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.3%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, reached 105.9%. In January-December 2021, the share of other non-metallic mineral products amounted to 5.4%, the index of physical volume of production increased by 6.4%, and the volume of production amounted to 20 295.0 billion soums.
If in 2020 the share of food production in the manufacturing industry amounted to 13.8%, and the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, reached 108.6%, then in January-December 2021, the share of food products decreased to 13.6%, while the index of physical volume reached 105.3%, the total volume of production amounted to 51 094.4 billion soums.
At the end of 2020, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.4%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, amounted to 105.7%. In January-December 2021, the share of beverage production amounted to 2.7%, the physical volume index - 117.7%, and the volume of production reached 9 978.3 billion soums.
At the end of 2020, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.0%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, amounted to 117.4%. In JanuaryDecember 2021, the share of textile production amounted to 13.7%, the physical volume index increased by 19.1%, and the volume of production amounted to 51 507.0 billion soums.
If in 2020 the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.4%, and the physical volume index was 107.2%, then in January-December 2021, the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry was 3.5%, the physical volume index - 118.7%, the volume of production reached 13 284.1 billion soums.
In 2020, the share of chemical production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 6.9%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, was 107.6%. In January-December 2021, the share of chemical products amounted to 7.4%, the index of physical volume of production increased by 5.7%, and the volume of production amounted to 27 577.9 billion soums.
At the end of 2020, the share of production of coke and products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.6%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, amounted to 98.3%. In January-December 2021, the share of production of coke and refined petroleum products amounted to 3.0%, the physical volume index also decreased by 29.2%, and the volume of production amounted to 11 335.2 billion soums.
At the end of 2020, the share of production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.3%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, amounted to 109.7%. In January-December 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 2.0%, the physical volume index - 100.4%, production volume – 7 500.5 billion soums.
In 2020, the share of electrical equipment production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 2.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, was 110.1%. In January-December 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 2.8%, the index of physical volume of production decreased by 6.6%, and the volume of production amounted to 10 662.5 billion soums.
At the end of 2020, the share of production of metal products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.3%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, amounted to 118.8%. In January-December 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 2.7%, the volume index increased by 18.9%, and the volume of production amounted to 10 265.0 billion soums.
At the end of 2020, the share of motor vehicle production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 11.0%, while the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, amounted to 99.4%. In January-December 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 8.5%, the index of physical volume - 94.3%, the volume of production – 32 024.3 billion soums.
The volume of products produced by electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises amounted to 30.8 trillion soums (6.8% of the total industry). The index of the physical volume of the industry, compared with the corresponding period of 2020, increased by 13.0%.
The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises amounted to 2.9 trillion soums (0.7% of the total industry).
Compared to the corresponding period of 2020, there was a decrease in services for emptying, cleaning and processing cesspools, sedimentation tanks and septic tanks by 1.7%. At the same time, an increase in the production of textile waste by 2.5% and services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 20.9% was recorded.
As a result of the measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the release of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 152.0 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period of 2020, the growth rate reached 113.5%, the share in the total industry amounted to 33.7%.
In the structure of food production, the production of wine and vodka products and beer amounted to 5.6% (7.0% in January-December 2020). In the structure of the production of consumer goods of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (22.4% of the total volume of consumer goods), Andijan (16.6%), Tashkent (13.1%) and Samarkand (9.5%) regions. The largest growth in the production of consumer goods was recorded in Jizzakh (136.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), Tashkent (127.9%), Bukhara (120.2%) regions and Tashkent city (128.3%), exceeding the average indicator for the republic (113.5%).
In the structure of production of consumer goods of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (22.4% of the total volume of consumer goods), Andijan (16.6%), Tashkent (13.1%), Samarkand (9.5%) regions.
In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (22.1% of the total volume of non-food products), Andijan (23.5%), Tashkent (9.5%), Samarkand (9.2%) regions.

In the total volume of industrial production of the republic, the largest share falls on Tashkent city (19.1% of the total volume of industrial goods), Tashkent (18.4%), Navoi (16.3%) and Andijan (8.0%) regions.
An analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (12 935.2 thousand soums) in Navoi (71 923.0 thousand soums), Tashkent (28 524.9 thousand soums) regions and the city of Tashkent (30 538.8 thousand soums).
During the reporting period, small businesses produced products worth 121.7 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production amounted to 27.0%.
The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the country amounted to 4 354.6 thousand soums, including in Tashkent city – 12 070.1 thousand soums, Andijan region – 7 858.6 thousand soums, Tashkent region – 6 843.7 thousand soums, Bukhara region – 4 422.9 thousand soums.
Today, 91.2 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 16.1 thousand (17.7% of the total number of operating enterprises) are located in Tashkent city, 10.0 thousand (11.0%) - Fergana, 9.3 thousand (10.3%) - Andijan, 9.3 thousand (10.2%) - Tashkent and 8.1 thousand (8.8%) - Samarkand regions
The development of industrial production of the republic was also facilitated by the implementation of the Localization Program for the Production of Finished Products, Components and Materials, within the framework of which 1 938 projects produced products worth 30.1 trillion soums, exported localized products worth 411.0 million US dollars, created 12 433 new jobs.
Compared to the same period in 2020, in January-December 2021, the number of newly created jobs increased by 161.5%. At the same time, if compared with January-December 2020, there is an increase in the volume of exports of localized products.
