Share of small business in Uzbekistan’s GDP makes up 54.9% in 2021

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In 2021, the share of small business (business) in Uzbekistan’s GDP made up 54.9%, the State Statistics Committee said.
In terms of regions, its largest share was observed in Jizzakh (81.2% of the total gross value added created in the region), Surkhandarya (77.3%) and Bukhara (75.4%) regions. The smallest share of small business (business) was noted in Navoi (27.1%) and Tashkent (46.8%) regions.
According to preliminary data, the GRP of the Republic of Karakalpakstan for 2021 increased by 7.4% and amounted to 26.25 trillion soums. GRP growth is due to positive growth rates in the main sectors of the region’s economy, such as agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 3.7% (share in the GRP structure - 28.8%), industry - 7.4% (26.7%) , construction - 10.5% (8.5%) and services - 9.7% (36.0%). GRP per capita increased by 6.0% and amounted to 13.55 million soums.
