Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Japan are 30 years old

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 January 1992, diplomatic relations were established between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of this event, the foreign ministers of the two countries exchanged congratulatory messages.
The message of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov notes: “Uzbekistan values close and trusting relations with Japan, which we consider as a reliable friend and time-tested partner.”
The interest of the Uzbek side in further maintaining a dialogue with Tokyo on topical issues of world and regional politics is emphasized.
Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi assured that Uzbekistan for Japan is not only a friendly country with a long history of cooperation, but also an important strategic partner.
Hayashi informed about the resolute support by the Japanese side of the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan.
