Deputy Prime Minister holds meeting with representatives of “Rothschild & Cie”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 January, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov held a meeting with the member of the board of directors of the French company Rothschild & Cie Ms. Arielle Malard de Rothschild.

The meeting was also attended by the Managing Director of the French company “Rothschild & Cie” Thibaud Fourcade, First Deputy Minister of Finance Omonulla Nasritdinkhojaev, Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov and representatives of the responsible department of the Ministry.

During the meeting, the ongoing reform processes in the country, in particular, work in the oil and gas sector, the privatization of large enterprises in this area, reforms in the local banking system and the development of banks, and transformation processes were discussed. 

The parties also exchanged views on ongoing cooperation with major international banks, cooperation with international consulting companies in the process of transformation and privatization of organizations with state participation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation on the above issues.
