MFAs of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan hold another round of political consultations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 January 2022, another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan took place in Tashkent.

The Uzbek delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov, the Turkmen delegation - by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Berdy Myatiev.

The meeting participants discussed topical issues of Uzbek-Turkmen relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, water management, energy, transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

An exchange of views took place on the situation in the region, the existing challenges and threats to security, as well as the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations.
