Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- UzAuto Motors is forced to store cars in a flour warehouse awaiting the delivery of microcircuits. This was reported by the press service of the manufacturer.
A video has surfaced on social media showing several auto containers loaded with Chevrolet Lacetti vehicles on their way to the flour storage area. The author of the video asks: why and why do cars go to the warehouse?
UzAuto Motors noted that the company produces 250-300 Chevrolet Lacetti cars per day. But the company cannot hand over cars to its owners due to a lack of semiconductor parts.
“The car is ready, but the absence of just one part prevents any system from working. For example, an airbag,” the company said in a statement.
As soon as UzAuto Motors receives these parts, they will be installed in the car and handed over to the buyer, the company said.
“These ready-made, but not marketable cars have gradually filled all the spaces for finished cars at the plant. For this reason, UzAuto Motors entered into an agreement with UzDonMakhsulot on the temporary storage of cars on the territory of this enterprise,” notes UzAuto Motors.
