Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy head of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service Nurmat Atabekov reported statistics on the vaccinated in Uzbekistan. According to him, since the start of mass vaccination (1 April), out of all cases of coronavirus, those who received the vaccine accounted for only 285 cases, or about 0.3%, Gazeta.uz reports.
Deputy Head of the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-being and Public Health, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nurmat Atabekov reported statistics on the vaccinated in Uzbekistan. The information was presented on 7 September at the scientific and practical conference “COVID-19. Vaccination: Achievements, Prospects and Goals”. The broadcast was conducted on the page of the Ministry of Innovative Development.
In his report, Nurmat Atabekov cited the results of studying the serological status of persons who received vaccines against the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus, as well as a comparative analysis of immunization in those vaccinated with different vaccines. According to him, specialists are simultaneously examining persons who have not received the vaccine against COVID-19 and who have been vaccinated with the drugs ZF-UZ-VAC 2001, AstraZeneca and Sputnik V.
Nurmat Atabekov said that the study is still ongoing, but several conclusions can already be drawn from the study results:
Regardless of the type of vaccine received, the examined patients produced a sufficient amount of antibodies, and in more than half of the vaccinated, the amount of antibodies was higher than 700 BAU / ml - this mostly concerns antibodies to the surface protein S-RBD SARS-CoV-2;
Receiving the second dose of the vaccine resulted in a significant increase in the amount of antibodies, both IgG and S-RBD;
The results of the group of people who received the ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine are comparable to those who received other vaccines;
ZF-UZ-VAC2001 is an effective and reliable vaccine for immunizing the population against COVID-19;
Vaccination against COVID-19 contributes to a favorable course of the disease and a decrease in the number of severe cases.
