Uzbekistan receives batch of AstraZeneca vaccine

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan received another batch of AstraZeneca vaccine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
The German government has donated 356,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine through the COVAX program. The delivery was organized by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
In March, 660 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were delivered to Uzbekistan, in June - 50 thousand and in August - 276.4 thousand doses. In total, Uzbekistan received more than 1.342 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines.
Uzbekistan received a total of 22.802 million doses of vaccines. In particular, 18 million doses of ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccines, 3 million doses of Moderna vaccines and 460 thousand doses of Sputnik V vaccine were delivered to Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is expected to receive more than 1.2 million doses of Pfizer vaccine soon.
According to the Ministry of Health, over 16.6 million doses of the vaccine have been used in Uzbekistan. Moreover, more than 3 million people are fully vaccinated
