Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The public transport system in Tashkent will be radically revised. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, speaking at a session of the UzLiDeP party in Tashkent.
In addition, 3,000 kilometers of internal roads will be modernized and 10 modern bridges will be built, he said.
According to him, the sewage system of Tashkent will be moved out of the city, and a new sewage treatment plant will be built on the basis of a public-private partnership.
In the next five years, a phased implementation of the project for the construction of a new city of Tashkent will be launched.
The national project "Green Space" will be implemented throughout the country. At least 200 million seedlings are planted in the regions annually.
In addition, "green gardens" will be built on at least 50 hectares in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regional centers.
In addition, public parks will be created in cities and regional centers for every 50-100 thousand people.
At the same time, an indefinite moratorium on cutting down trees will be introduced. From now on, the use of parks and green spaces for other purposes is strictly prohibited.
