“Problems of the development of personnel able to compete in the modern conditions of the globalization of the world economy, due to a number of specific reasons, are becoming more urgent. First of all, these are the changed conditions in the labor market associated with both a decrease in the number of jobs and an increase in requirements for the level of professionalism and competencies of employees. Secondly, employees with a low level of professionalism and competencies are eliminated for objective reasons, due to the increased intra-organizational and intra-collective competition of employees for jobs. And lastly, the only guarantee of social well-being, a condition for the competitiveness of an employee in these changed conditions of the labor market is professional education,” noted in his speech the First Deputy Minister of Construction of Uzbekistan Davronjon Adilov.
Problems of the development of personnel able to compete in the conditions of the globalization of the world economy, due to a number of specific reasons, acquire great urgency at the present stage.
And finally, the only guarantee of social well-being, a condition for the competitiveness of an employee in these changed conditions of the labor market is professional education.
Experts identify two areas in professional development, which form the foundation of the essence of professionalism:
- professional and qualification development, which is closely related to training (education), retraining, advanced training and self-education;
- professional and job development based on the rational and effective distribution of the workforce, service and professional advancement, reprofessionalization, the growth of professional competencies and the potential of workers.
“Let’s not forget that modern construction is a dynamic process that requires renewal of the knowledge of specialists every three to five years. Every builder should remember that the only opportunity to be in demand in any socio-economic conditions is to follow the principle of "education throughout life." Therefore, our decision to open a modern Training Center was dictated by the desire to develop professional training and professional development of specialists. We train to work according to high international standards and we are confident that specialists, having received knowledge and skills in our training center, will be able to successfully apply their experience in different countries, - commented Evgeny Voilov. - In addition, the consolidation of the resources of the Tashkent Construction College under the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the TECHNONICOL production company will improve the quality of construction and the materials used, making housing more reliable and durable. In addition, the acquired skills in the use of modern materials on all structures of buildings will accelerate the development of energy-saving technologies in the country and will contribute to the implementation of an energy efficiency project launched under the auspices of the United Nations. "
The Training Center has two technological workshops, in which specialists working at construction sites will learn how to work with modern energy-saving building materials and systems, and will also receive practical skills in the application of innovative technologies in the following areas: “Flat roofs using bitumen and bitumen-polymer materials”, “Flat roofs using polymer membranes”, “Pitched roofs”, “Facades”, “Waterproofing of foundations” and “Shallow foundations”. There is a comfortable classroom for theoretical studies on the territory of the Center.
The training will be conducted by the teachers of the TECHNONICOL Construction Academy, who have many years of practical experience in supporting the construction and repair of buildings using various materials and structural systems, as well as recognized experts from scientific and educational organizations. Every year about 1000 construction industry specialists will study and improve their qualifications there.
“This is the second project of the Corporation, implemented in Uzbekistan since 2018. Exactly three years ago, we acquired a controlling stake in Angren Pack, the largest producer of containerboard, paper and corrugated packaging in Central Asia. We focused on increasing the productivity of the enterprise and carried out modernization of equipment, thanks to which the annual output of finished products almost tripled. The technologies used at our plant allow us to manufacture products from secondary raw materials, which saves primary resources - water and electricity, - said Sergey Kolesnikov, co-owner and managing partner of TECHNONICOL Corporation. “In addition to providing the industry with green jobs, we, by training construction industry professionals to work with modern and energy-efficient materials and systems, contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the construction industry in Uzbekistan.”
