Khokimiyat of Tashkent: No permission was given to hold the action "Immortal Regiment"
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Information that the Tashkent khokimiyat authorized the “Immortal Regiment” rally does not correspond to reality. This was stated in the statement of the press service of the Tashkent administration.
The information was disseminated in social networks that Tashkent khokimiyat authorized organization of the “Immortal Regiment” rally. The administration said that was sent to authorize bodies for consideration. The holding of the rally was not authorized.
The khokimiyat notes that none of the competent organizations to which the organizers of the Immortal Regiment applied gave permission to hold a mass event in the current conditions of the pandemic.
It is known that recently in Uzbekistan, as in the rest of the world, the situation associated with the spread of coronavirus infection is becoming more and more complicated. In this regard, additional restrictions are introduced for public health, preventing the widespread spread of the disease.
Based on the decision of the special republican commission to combat coronavirus, various mass events, in particular concerts, festive performances and mass flash mobs, have been temporarily suspended in the country since 1 May 2021.
The khokimiyat of Tashkent notes that, based on the current situation, this year it has been determined to hold events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Honor, in strict compliance with quarantine rules, in a compact form.
“Do not forget that such restrictions also apply to the Immortal Regiment mass event, which stipulates the participation of hundreds of people. Since protecting the health of our population in the current difficult epidemiological conditions is considered our most important task,” the capital’s administration emphasizes.
