Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A solemn opening of the Ishga Markhamat monocenter was held in Samarkand to provide employment for the unemployed, organize professional training courses in various areas and provide social support. The monocenter can accommodate 1,650 students at a time.
The opening ceremony of the center was attended by the Minister of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nozim Khusanov, the head of the World Bank Office in Uzbekistan, Marco Mantovanelli, the regional administration and the general public.
Monocenter "Ishga Markhamat" is located in the building of a former college in the town of Kimyogarlar. Reconstruction work was carried out here in the amount of 10.5 billion soums. Another 30 such centers are expected to open in the republic.
“This is a modern center, equipped according to international standards, where the unemployed population can learn the professions in demand and the basics of entrepreneurial activity, learn languages with subsequent employment. In just 2-6 months of training, here you can acquire knowledge in 19 professions in the service sector, digital technologies, technical direction, entrepreneurship, ”the press service of the Samarkand regional khokimiyat said.
According to the information, there is a special dormitory for students from remote areas where there are all conditions. In addition, students here will receive a monthly stipend of 560 thousand soums.
On 11 August 2020, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on additional measures aimed at attracting people to entrepreneurship, increasing labor activity and vocational training for the poor and unemployed, as well as ensuring employment of the population. The document instructed the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations to organize mono-centers "Ishga Markhamat" in Karakalpakstan and regions until 1 January 2021.
The Ministry of Labor, starting from 1 January 2021, was instructed to ensure the assessment of the professional competence of graduates of the Ishga Markhamat monocenters and vocational training centers based on the WorldSkills standard and to arrange for the issuance of Skills passports to graduates who have successfully passed the assessment. Also, a Unified Register of graduates with confirmed qualifications will be formed.
The certificate of completion of training issued by the Ishga Markhamat monocenters and vocational training centers, as well as the Skills passport are equated to the level of a diploma of secondary specialized vocational education. They give the owner the right to apply the acquired knowledge in work, but they are not the basis for continuing education at its next stage, the resolution says.
