Over 1 million people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, 1 million 5910 thousand people received vaccines against coronavirus. This was announced by Botir Kurbonov, deputy head of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Surveillance and Health Service.
According to him, 63% of them received the ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine, 35.5% - Covishield and 2.5% - Sputnik V.
In March and April, Uzbekistan received 2 million doses of ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine. The ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine was developed by the Chinese company Ayhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical Co. Ltd. in collaboration with Uzbek scientists.
In March, Uzbekistan received another 660,000 doses of Covishield vaccine from India under the COVAX program.
Uzbekistan also received 50,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine from Russia. It should be noted that Uzbekistan plans to purchase 500,000 doses of the Russian vaccine.
