Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Law enforcement agencies held an operational measure to detain persons who help travelers to obtain fake certificates of the absence of COVID-19, the Main Department for Transport Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
In the course of an operational measure, held on 23 April, an employee of the disinfection department of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Station S.A., living in the Oktosh mahalla of the Uychinsky district of Namangan region, was detained. This person, without performing analyzes, agreed to issue fake certificates from the results of coronavirus tests to persons N.Kh., D.Sh. and H.K. Citizen S.A. was detained while receiving 200,000 soums from N.Kh.
In addition, on 30 April, during an operational event, employees of the transport security department, near the international airport of Samarkand, identified a group of people who offered citizen "C" to prepare a certificate of absence of COVID-19 for 400,000 soums in a short time. As a result, it was revealed that one of them is a resident of the "Khuzhakishlok" makhalla of the city of Samarkand, born in 1986, and the second, a citizen born in 2005, lives in the area of University Boulevard.
At present, an investigation is underway on this fact.
