Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan has set the maximum cost of official vehicles for government bodies and state authorities on the ground.
On 29 April, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On measures to radically improve the system of using official vehicles in government and local government bodies”.
The document notes that the maximum price of official transport assigned to ministers, heads of state committees, khokims of regions and Tashkent should not exceed 2,000 basic estmated values (490 million soums). The maximum price of official transport for their deputies is 1,500 basic estimated values (367 million soums).
The maximum cost of an official car for the khokims of districts and cities is 1000 basic estimated values (245 million soums).
The marginal cost of an official car for the heads of regional departments of state administration bodies, as well as deputy khokims of districts and cities will be 700 basic estimated values (171 million soums).
State bodies can replace or transfer official vehicles to subordinate organizations after 5 years of operation (with the exception of a vehicle that has become unusable).
The government has also set an annual distance limit for official vehicles. At the same time, the heads of ministries and departments and their deputies are allowed to exceed the annual limit on business trips to the regions. Overruns will be covered by the organizations' extrabudgetary funds or within the approved budgetary funds.
