Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The delegations of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan at the talks in Dushanbe discussed a number of practical issues of cooperation aimed at developing transport connectivity between the two countries and the region as a whole, Dunyo news agency reported.
According to the National Information Agency of Tajikistan "Khovar", during the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in international road transport, development of the transport corridor "Uzbekistan-Tajikistan-China", restoration of the cross-border crossing "Khashtyak-Bekabad", electrification of the section of the railway "Bekabad (Uzbekistan) —Spitamen — Istiklol (Tajikistan) ”, construction of a new railway on the“ Penjikent (Tajikistan) - Bulungur / Jambay (Uzbekistan) ”section, increasing the volume of transit through the“ Bekabad ”section and other existing issues.
At the end of the meeting, a corresponding protocol was signed.
