Kapitalbank said it invested over 6.16 billion soums into securities in the reporting period. The balance income in the first quarter made up 1.89 billion soums.

The bank issued credits for 11.2 billion soums, including 1.1 billion soums to small and private businesses, which is up 8% year-on-year.

Kapitalbank issued about 2,736 plastic cards and their total number reached 23,520. The bank issued 7,487 cards on salary projects or 32% up year-on-year. Transactions with plastic cards grew by 2.5 times in the reporting period against the same year of 2008.

As of 1 April 2009, Kapitalbank had seven branches and 38 mini-banks in Tashkent and regional centers of Uzbekistan. The bank has over 670,000 clients.
