Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 August 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel, Said Rustamov, met with Simon Fisher, executive director of the Israeli non-profit charitable organization Save a Child’s Heart - SACH. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.
First of all, the Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude to the Save a Child’s Heart - SACH organization for unselfish help to children with severe heart diseases. With the support of the organization, on 17 July, Wolfson, an Israeli multidisciplinary hospital, successfully performed a complex cardiological operation on a sick heart disease, a 3-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan, who, after a successful operation and rehabilitation on August 22, returns with his mother to his homeland in Andijan region.
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation were discussed and an agreement was reached on sending the Save a Child’s Heart - SACH mission to Uzbekistan, headed by Simon Fisher, to negotiate with representatives of the Ministry of Health of our country and relevant medical institutions to jointly develop practical areas of interaction.
Among them are an increase in the number of patients from the republic, conducting master classes and trainings for Uzbek specialists both in Israel and Uzbekistan.
