Among the participants are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Germany, Iran, China, Turkey, Russia, France, Slovakia and the USA.

The forum is aimed at discussing the impact of the global processes on the situation in Central Asia and looking for solutions to the current and potential threats and challenges in the region.

The participants will discuss such issues as regional security, influence of the world financial crisis upon the political and socio-economic processes in the region and problems of energy and environmental security.
