Baltika named as best imported beer in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Baltika of Russian was named “Beer of import production No. 1” on the results of the competition “The Choice of the Year in 2008”. The company received this product second time in a row.

Victory in competition “The Choice of the Year in 2008” is evidence that the company possesses strong competitive products and respect to the society. “The Choice of the Year in 2008” is annual rating among trademarks, which are popular among consumers and they assessed by them as the best among similar products.

Baltika started to supply its products to Uzbekistan in 2000 and one of the largest importers in Uzbekistan. The company imports all existing brands to Uzbekistan, including Baltika, Nevskoye and licensed brands of Carlsberg.

In 2008, on the results of public voting at Beer Festival in Tashkent, Baltika beer was named the Best Beer of the Year in Uzbekistan for third time in a row. In autumn 2008, Carlsberg Uzbekistan in Tashkent launched production of licensed beer Baltika No. 3 Classic and Baltika No. 9 Strong.

Baltika Breweries is the largest fast moving consumer goods producer in Russia. Since 1996 it has been the leader on the Russian beer market. On the results of 2007, Baltika took first place in Europe in terms of overall sales (Canadean). The Company comprises 11 breweries across all of Russia and one brewery abroad.
