Japanese Ambassador to Uzbekistan, JICA and other Japanese experts, staff of Justice Ministry, Central Bank, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commercial banks, other state bodies and businesses participated at the work of the event.

The seminar was aimed at promoting legislation on mortgage among population of Uzbekistan. Local and foreign experts briefed the participants on various forms of legal relations in mortgage.

It was noted that the mortgage institute is one of the ancient in civil law and it plays key role in development of modern economy. The mortgage is also important for solving social problems as it provides affordable habitation to population.

The participants also made proposals for further improvement of mortgage legislation. It was also mentioned that mortgage also plays key role in economic reforms and development of small businesses.

The participants determined tasks for further improvement of legislation in mortgage sphere.

Within the event, the presentation of the book "Mortgage: comments and articles collection" was held. The book "Mortgage: comments and articles collection" is a manual on mortgage legislation for lawyers, students, specialists of the bank and credit organizations, as well as population.
