Uzbekistan U-19 to play against Jordan in AFC Youth Championship

Uzbekistan will face Jordan on Saturday in its first match at the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) U-19 Championship, which got under way in Saudi Arabia.
Uzbekistan will play against Australia on 3 November and Thailand on 5 November.
The 16 competing teams play in four groups; the top two teams from each group moves on to the quarters, the top four qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009.
Group A: Japan, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Yemen.
Group B: South Korea, Iraq, the UAE and Syria,
Group C: North Korea, China, Tajikistan and Lebanon.
Group D: Jordan, Australia, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
The quarter-finals are set for 8 November, the semis for 11 November and the final for 14 November. Four semifinalists will qualify to FIFA World Cup U-19.
