The company should carry out explorations works at Adjar (ustyurt region) and Chimbay (Bukhara-Khiva region) investment blocks within five years in risk conditions.

Stroytransgas-oil and Uzbekneftegaz signed a corresponding agreement and now the sides are waiting for the decision of the government on the project and afterwards, the license will be issued to the Russian firm.

It is expected that the Russian company will start exploration works in 2009.

Uzbekistan allocated 44 investment blocks to foreign investors. The country issues licenses on 21 blocks.
