Pakhtakor manager Ravshan Haydarov step down from his job for “moral and psychological fatigue”, a press service of the Tashkent club said on 21 October.
Pakhtakor failed to qualify to knockout stage in the AFC Champions League and currently in the second place in the Uzbek Premier League - seven points behind Bunyodkor.
Haydarov has been heading eight time Uzbek champions since August 2005. During his tenure, he led Pakhtakor to CIS Cup victory and set several records in internal championship. However, Ravshan Haydarov will stay in club and head the selection department.
Pakhtakor said that Victor Jalilov, who also worked as head coach in Pakhtakor, will be interim coach and prepare the team to crucial Uzbekistan Cup final match against Bunyodkor. The match will be held on 31 October.
