Shavkat Mirziyoyev won the elections of the President of Uzbekistan, which were held on 4 December, collecting 88.61% votes.
“I see your mood and it gives me great force. The elections were held with great political activity. In past 25 years, many things were done and we reached great success. I express gratitude to people of Uzbekistan for support. This figure imposes great responsibility to me,” he added.
“It is difficult to won 88% votes, but people believed to me. The main thing is to earn trust of the people,” Mirziyoyev said.
President-elect also expressed gratitude to other candidates for worthy participation in the elections of the President of Uzbekistan.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that all pre-election promises will be fulfilled. He said that his programme was based on wishes of people and take into account their problems. He said that people are expecting many things – peace, well-being and development of Uzbekistan. He wished prosperity, well-being and happiness to people of Uzbekistan.
President-elect also expressed gratitude to international observers for active participation and observation of elections, as well as attention to democratic reforms in Uzbekistan.
