Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Germany’s Bundestag adopted decision on payment of one-time compensations to the World War II prisoners from former Soviet Union.
The Soviet military prisoners, who were in German captivity from 22 June 1941 to 8 May 1945, can receive one-time payment for 2,500 euros.
The payments are paid on voluntary basis, not on legal claims, so heirs or other people cannot claim the payment. The payments can be claimed only by prisoner or authorized person.
The written claims on payments can be sent to Federal Department on Central Services and unsolved property issues.
