UzLiDeP council in Surkhandarya region organized seminar “Prospects for the development of tourism: the role of small business and entrepreneurship” with participation of members of UzLiDeP faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, deputies of local councils of people’s deputies, representatives of the National Company “Uzbektourism”, association of “Hunarmand” and other organizations.

Participants of the event noted that under the target program for development of tourism in the region for 2014-2016 has been planned to restore about 20 historical monuments and save their original appearancefor attracting foreign tourists to the region. In this regard, the regional entrepreneurs and artisansorganized an exhibition of national products which are very popular among tourists.

During the event participants discussed the issues ofparticipation the private enterprise in the further development of tourism and increasing the export of tourist services as well as they have watched a presentation on the further development of business activities of women and youth, who have established their business in this area.

The young people who want to do business in tourism received recommendations and advice from experts of the event.
