Citizenship can be stripped if person harms to society, government

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan now can strip citizenship of person, who harmed to interests of the society and the government.
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan”, which introduced changes to law “On citizenship of Uzbekistan”.
Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 29 July 2015 and the Senate approved it on 6 August 2015. The amendments came into force on 11 August 2015.
According to the amendments, the citizenship of Uzbekistan can be lose in case if person causes significant harm to interests of the society and the government, conducts activities in interest of foreign state or committed crime against peace and security.
According to the Criminal Code, the crimes against the peace and security are the propaganda of war, aggression, violation of the laws or customs of war, genocide, mercenary, admission, recruitment for military service, for service in the security forces, the police, military courts and other similar bodies of foreign states, terrorism, incitement of national, racial or religious hatred.
