President: Uzbekistan should strengthen friendly relation with foreign states

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan should strengthen friendly relations and mutual beneficial cooperation with foreign to ensure security of the country, Islam Karimov said at the ceremony of assuming office of the President of Uzbekistan at the joint session of the chambers of Oliy Majlis.
Uzbek leader said: “We are living in uneasy, increasingly tense time, when various threats and challenges amplified, which may lead to unpredictable consequences.”
Islam Karimov said that Uzbekistan should consider as its primary task to further strengthen friendly relations and mutual beneficial cooperation with foreign states to preserve peace and tranquility, well-being and prosperity of our people, protect our borders.
He once again vowed that Uzbekistan will never join military-political blocks and will not allow to place foreign military base in Uzbekistan, or send its troops to abroad.
Uzbek leader said that this position is only correct way for Uzbekistan. He stated that Uzbekistan needs peace and tranquility and “we will fight for it”.
