Norway could soon ban begging
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Norway is considering a draft law, in line with which any person, who provides shelter, money, cloth or food to begging people can be jailed for 12 months.

Local mass media reported that the draft law was developed to fight organized groups of professional beggars. But, later the draft law was expected.

Vidar Brien-Karlsen, state secretary of ministry of justice of Norway, said that the government should provide legal rights to police, so they can adopted strict measures to decrease flow of beggars.

The decision on the draft law should be adopted till 15 February. If the draft law passes, the beggars and those, who provide help to them, will be jailed for 12 months.
