The decision was adopted on 6 January 2015 at the session of the MPs, elected from the PDPU to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
Opening the session, Ketmonom underlined that elections to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, regional, district and city Councils of the People’s Deputies were held at high level and in line with democratic standards, in spirit of openness and transparency.
At the session, it was underlined that the party won 27 seats at the Legislative Chamber and formed the party faction based on this result.
Chairperson of the Central Council of People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) Hatamjon Ketmonov was elected as head of a faction of the party at lower house of the parliament. The corresponding decision was directed to the Legislative Chamber.
It was underlined that the faction will focus its efforts in law-making process and solving issues of social policy in 2015-2019, including social protection of population, implementation of the state progammes on social-economic and public-political development of Uzbekistan.
