Uzbekistan adopts programme on developing projects on detailed planning of cities and urban settlements

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan adopted a programme on developing projects on detailed planning of cities and urban settlements with population of over 20,000 citizens for 2015-2018.
The programme was approved with the resolution of the Government of Uzbekistan from 21 October 2014.
The document was adopted for further improving investment climate and simplifying procedures on providing land areas for urban development activities, ensuring development of areas in cities and towns, further improving urban planning rules and regulations, regarding the timing, cost, and procedures for the development, coordination and approval planning documentation.
UzshaharsozlikLITI and ToshkentboshplanLITI determined as developers of the projects on detailed planning of Tashkent city, Nukus city and cities - regional centers, included to the programme.
The project organizations, which have licenses to carry out activities on developing architecture-urban planning activities in cities and urban settlements, were determined as the developers of the projects on detailed planning of cities and urban settlements. They will be selected by local administrations on competitive bases.
UzGASHKLITI is an executor of the work on conducting a complex engineer research (conducting geotechnical surveys, topographic maps and plans) for the development of the projects on detailed planning of cities and urban settlements.
The programme will be financed due to resources of the state budget within the limits of budget allocations, including centralized capital investments.
According to the programme, it is planned to develop projects on detailed plans for 108 cities and urban settlements with population of over 20,000 people in 2015-2018.
