Overheated machine in the cab cause smoke in Tashkent metro

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Overheated machine in the cab was the reason behind the smoke in the Tashkent subway, Podrobno.uz reported quoting management of Tashkent subway.
According to Tashkent subway, the driver of train No. 9, heading from Buyuk Ipak Yuli station Pushkin station, felt smell of burning. He stopped the train at station and all passengers left the cars.
The train number No 14, which was coming behind train No. 9, had to wait in tunnel. When, the platform at Pushkin station was cleared, the train No. 14 continued to provide service to passengers, the website reported quoting unnamed official of the metro.
The official said that the passengers were not evacuated via rails as it is banned in line with the rules of Tashkent metro.
The report said that the train No. 9, which became culprit for the accident, has been sent to depot for repair works.
