Car video systems without displays can be installed – Interior Ministry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Main department of traffic security of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan stated that the drivers can install car video systems without displays or the display should be located in front part of the car.
The department said that issues on use of modern technical means, such as car video systems, which help to determine reasons for road accidents, were widely discussed in Uzbekistan in recent time.
The department said that there are wrong notion among drivers that it is not allowed to use car video systems. Main department of traffic security said it will explain requirements of the legislation on this issue.
The statement of the department said that the legislation of Uzbekistan bans to install television and video displays in the front side of the cars. The violation of the law will lead to fine, equal to two sizes of minimal salary. If the violation repeated within a year, the drive can receive a fine, equal to from three to five sizes of minimal salary or lose license from six months to one year.
Main department of traffic security said that the car video systems with video camera and recording device will be enough to record events on the road and such devices can be installed in the car.
At the same time, the car video system without display should limit view of the driver. If the car video system has display, it could be installed in other place, except front part of the car.
