Small asteroid 2014 AA hits earth

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An asteroid 2014 AA entered to atmosphere to the Earth over Atlantic Ocean and burnt in atmosphere on 2 January morning, the Minor Planet Center of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) said.
According to the data of the center, the size of asteroid made up from 3 to 5 meters. The scientists of the Minor Planet Center believe that asteroid fully destroyed in atmosphere.
They said that the size of the asteroid was small and only its dust reached the Earth.
The Mount Lemmon reflector, part of the Catalina Sky Survey, discovered 2014 AA, the first asteroid found this year on 1 January.
According to calculations by dynamicist Stephen Chesley (Jet Propulsion Laboratory), the impact occurred over the Atlantic Ocean somewhere between Central America to East Africa.
