Uzbekistan creates 833,400 new jobs in nine months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan created 833,400 new jobs in nine months of 2013 within the programme on creation of jobs and employment of population, of which over 488,000 were founded in rural areas, a publication of Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, published in local media, said.
About 44,800 new jobs were created due to launch of new enterprises, expansion and reconstruction of production capacities, 282,200 – launch of new small and microfirms, 90,600 – development of individual entrepreneurship, 11,500 – rehabilitation of unused capacities, 181,800 – development of out-work jobs, 57,300 – development of production, social and market infrastructures, and 107,400 – at farms and dehkan entities.
Employment of population increased by 2.5%, salaries – 17.3%, average size of pensions – 27.8%, and real aggregate income of population – 15.9%.
