Dilyor Khakimov appointed as Uzbekistan’s first deputy FM

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- New first deputy minister has been appointed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the press service of the ministry said.
The ministry said that newly appointed the first deputy foreign minister Dilyor Khakimov has been presented to the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 29 October 2013.
Prior to appointment, Dilyor Khakimov worked as the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nation in New York. In March 2013, new he handed over credentials to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.
Earlier, Dilyor Khakimov headed Department for USA and Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
