Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan introduced sanctions against officials for irrational use of energy recourses.
New sanctions were introduced in line with the law “On introduction of changes and amendments, as well as abolishment of some legislative acts of Uzbekistan”, which came into force on 8 October 2013.
The law introduced a norm to the Code of administrative responsibility, which sets responsibility for irrational use of electricity and heating energy. The fine for repeated violation is set at the size from 15 to 30 sizes of minimal salary.
The document also introduced changes to law “On rational use of energy”, which envisage strengthening of responsibility for officials of enterprises and organizations, engaged in production and consumption of energy, Norma.uz reported.
Now the officials of the organizations will be personally responsible for irrational use of energy.
Earlier economic sanctions applied to legal entities, which violate figures of quality of energy, direct loss of energy, production of products, etc.
Now the officials will be attracted to administrative responsibility for such violations. But the legal entities, engaged in production and consumption of energy, will have to compensate losses, which they caused.
