Graduates of universities and colleges freed from probation period

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Graduates of the secondary special, professional educational establishments and higher education institutions freed from probation period when they are employed.
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a law “On introduction of changes and amendments, as well as abolishment of some legislative acts of Uzbekistan” on 7 October 2013.
Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 31 July 2013 and Senate approved it on 22 August 2013. The law came into force on 8 October 2013. The document introduced amendments to the article 84 (“Preliminary “) to the Labour Code of Uzbekistan.
According to the amendment, graduates will not pass probation period if they are employed within the first three years after graduation of the educational institute.
The employees, which signed six-month agreement, are also freed from probation period.
Probation period cannot be applied to pregnant women and women with children at the age of up to three years.
