EVRASCON to reconstruct road in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Azerbaijan’s Evrascon signed an agreement with the Government of Uzbekistan on reconstruction of the road Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beinau (A-380) in Bukhara region.
RIA Novosti reported that the cost of the contract is US$66.5 million.
The Azerbaijani company won a tender on reconstruction of automobile road, which was announced in May 2012. Within the contract, it will reconstruct 40 km road and replace two-lane asphalt pavement with four-lane cement concrete pavement. The construction term is 18 months.
The reconstruction works will be financed due to resources of the programme of multitranche financing of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for US$1.1 billion.
