Turkmenistan, China to construct new line of Central Asia-China gas pipeline
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- China and Turkmenistan reached an agreement on construction of the fourth line of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline.

New line of the pipeline will link Turkmenistan and China via Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The pipeline will deliver 25 billion cubic meters of gas to China a year.

In the result, annual total capacity of the gas pipeline will reach 65 billion cubic meters.

China and Turkmenistan also agreed to adopt measures to guarantee safety and stable work of the first two lines of the gas pipeline and completion of construction of the third line and supply of gas through it in short term.

Two first lines of the gas pipeline were laid on route Tashkent-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China. The third line is also constructed on the same route. The third line will be commission in January 2015.
