Uzbekistan approves regulation on land allocation to SIZ participants

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan with its resolution approved a regulation on order of allocation of land areas to participants of special industrial zones (SIZ).
The document was adopted to set single order of allocation of land areas to participants of special industrial zones and protect their rights.
The Government entrusted administrations of Tashkent, Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions and State Committee of Land Geodesy and Cadaster to determine preliminary cost of houses, buildings , establishments and other objects at the territories allocated for special industrial zones.
According to the resolution, land areas, which owned by the regional administrations, at the territories for the special industrial zone will be allocated in line with the decisions of the SIZ administrations.
Architecture and town-building activities at the territories of the SIZ is conducted in line with preliminary plans for construction or general plan on development of the SIZ, which were established in line with set order.
Land areas allocated to the SIZ participants for 30 years or till the end of the period of functioning of the SIZ, which is determined by the decrees or other decisions of the President of Uzbekistan.
The SIZ participants will have right to extend term of the use of land if the operation term of the SIZ also extended. The document said that it is banned to reject SIZ participants in allocation of land for their projects.
