Uzbekistan Olympic football team hosts South Korea

Under Olymic team coach Vadim Abramov Uzbekistan plays in group F with Korea, Yemen and UAE.

South Korean team arrived in Uzbekistan last week, UzA reported.

Six groups of four each will play home-and-away until June 6 when the top-two teams in each group advance to the Final round which will be played in three groups of four teams each from August 22 till November 21. The three group toppers will represent Asia at the Beijing Olympics 2008 alongside China who have automatic qualification as hosts.

Uzbekistan is the second in the group with six points. Our team have beaten Yemen and UAE and lost to South Korea in the last match.

The 24-team second-round qualifier, split into six groups of four teams each, runs through February 28 to June 6.
