Uzbek and Romanian PMs hold negotiations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev and Prime Minister of Romania Victor-Viorel Ponta held negotiations in Tashkent on 28 June 2013.
At the negotiations, both sides expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Romania, dialogue of business circles of two nations and support of joint projects, UzA reported.
Business circles of Uzbekistan and Romania, which was held in Tashkent on 26 June 2013, showed great interest of two states in developing trade-economic and investment cooperation.
Prime Minister of Romania Victor-Viorel Ponta said that Romania is considering expansion of bilateral relations with Uzbekistan as priority direction.
Victor-Viorel Ponta said that Romania respects and express interests in rich history of Uzbekistan, ancient values, traditions and culture of the Uzbek people. He said that Romania knows about sound results of Uzbekistan on gradual reforming of all spheres, including economy. He recalled to boost mutual visits between two nations to develop cooperation. Romania is interested in developing cooperation with Uzbek companies in such areas as technologies, power, information technologies, and other sectors, he said.
At the meeting, the sides considered current state and perspectives of the Uzbek-Romanian relations and analyse opportunities on expanding mutual cooperation. The sides paid attention to increasing mutual trade, number of joint ventures and expand assortment of products.
After the talks, Uzbekistan and Romania signed intergovernmental agreement on economic, industrial and technical cooperation.
On the same day, Victor-Viorel Ponta visited Mustaqillik Square ad laid wreath to the Monument of Independence and Humanism.
Romanian Prime Minister also visited Marifat Markazi and Museum of Temur Dynasty.
