Moscow hosts campaign “Bowing to shelterers”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow and Fund Forum held a campaign “Bowing to shelterers” in Krasnoarmeysk city of Moscow region, which was dedicated to Uzbek people, who provided shelter to people evicted from Russia and other countries to Uzbekistan during the World War II.
Among the participants were representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and national diaspora, members of Public Chamber of Legislative Chamber, and others.
The campaign included a roundtable dedicated to feat of the Uzbek people, who provided shelter to evicted people.
MP of Russian State Duma and the first deputy chairperson of the Committee of Duma on CIS affairs and relations with compatriots Dmitry Sablin sent a gratitude letter to the organizers of the event.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Uzbekistan and other CIS counties, and all those who accepted evicted people. He said that this helped to save millions of people.
After the event, the participants were treated with the Uzbek meals.
