Earthquake shakes Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake with magnitude of 5.2 was registered at 03:19 Tashkent time on Saturday, 25 May 2013, European-Mediterranean seismic center said.
The European-Mediterranean seismic center reported that magnitude was 5.6, but later decreased the figure up to 5.2. Later again the figure was changed to 5.5.
Tashkent citizens can feel earthquake for several seconds. The earthquake shook furniture and chandeliers. The alarms of automobiles also worked due to earth tremors.
According to the seismic station, the epicentre of earthquake was about 30 km east from the capital city of Uzbekistan.
Tashkent seismic station said that the earthquake power was 5.5-6 points at the epicenter and its magnitude was 5. The epicentre was in Tashkent region, about 40 km away to southern-western direction from Tashkent city.
The power of tremors in Tashkent city was 4-5 points.
