Uzbek-Russian oil firm announces tender for equipment purchase

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Jarkurganneftepererabotka, an Uzbek-Russian joint venture, (Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan) has announced a tender for purchase of oil processing equipment at the primary value of $39 million.
Energynews reported that tender was announced for purchase of technologic equipment on “turnkey” basis to increase processing of heavy oil at licensed area of the venture.
Tender proposals are received till 12 May 2013, and the results will be announced in the first half of 2013.
The project cost is US$42.3 million and envisages increase of production of petroleum, diesel and burner oil, as well as oil bitumen twice by 2016. The project will be implemented in three years.
Jarkurganneftepererabotka was founded by Russia’s Kompaniya Petromaruz (55%) and Jarkurganneft (45%). In September 2005, it launched capacities on processing heavy oil. The capacity of the plant allows to process 130,000 tonnes of raw heavy oil and produce up to 60,000 tonnes of oil bitumen and 50,000 tonnes of diesel fuel.
Jarkurganneft, which is part of Uzneftegadobicha, develops and mines oil at eight fields in Surkhandarya region.
