Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Healthcare Week started its work at the Uzexpocenter in Tashkent on 10 April 2013.
Uzbekistan Healthcare Week unites the 18th Tashkent International Healthcare Exhibiton – “TIHE”, the 8th International Exhibition for Pharmaceutical industry AptekaExpo Central Asia and Uzbekistan International Stomatology Exhibition - Stomatology Uzbekistan.
ITE Uzbekistan and its partners within ITE Group are organizers of the Uzbekistan Healthcare Week.
Over 160 companies are presenting their products at the events, held across two pavilions of Uzexpocentre. Exhibitors represent 21 countries: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, the UK, Hungary, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, South Korea, Cuba, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
The organizers said 42% of exhibitors are newcomers to the event and 58% are regular participants, while 70% of companies are foreign companies and 30% are local firms.
TIHE, the most popular section of the event, will feature dozens of leading global producers, distributors, suppliers and developers of medical equipment among its exhibitors, including Toshiba, Philips, Samsung Medison, GE Healthcare, Amico, Aktyubroentgen, BTL, Shimadzu, Draeger and Carefusion.

Newcomers this year include national groups from Belgium, Italy and Russia. Belgium’s collective stand, supported by the country’s Association of Healthcare, consists of five companies: Healthcare Belgium, Orfit, Cypra, Medical Clean Air and Ion Bean Application.
The Italian-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce has organised the participation of two Italian suppliers of high-quality pharmaceutical solutions: Pharmafin and Techniconsult.
Three Russian regions are represented by collective stands – the Novosibirsk Region, the Nizhniy Novgorod Region, and the Republic of Tatarstan. A 14-company Novosibirsk Region participation, supported by the region’s government, include leading firms such as Angioain, Vektor-Medika, and Siberian Medical Technologies. The Republic of Tatarstan’s Cabinet of Ministers-sponsored stand includes four companies, among them the endocrinology specialists NPF Eleps and Endomedium, a producer of surgical equipment.
China increases its presence at medical events each year, and this is reflected at TIHE. Wenzhou Wuzhou Group, Xuzhou Kaixin Electronics Instrument, Longfian Scitech, Contec Medical System, Neusoft Medical System, Naton Medical Group and Acon Biotech are all companies looking to enter Uzbekistan’s market at TIHE.
Pharmaceutical equipment is a fast-growing sector at TIHE, and one of its main exhibitors is IMA Group from Italy, which demonstrates its Excel Plus machine in action – an ideal choice for producing small to mid-sized batches.
Other exhibitors in this sector include Pharma Film, Parle Elizabeth Tools, Austar, Hunan China Sun Pharmaceutical Machinery and ECI Packaging. Also, Nobel Ilac Sanayii Ve Ticaret, Polisan, the Irbit Pharmaceutical Chemistry Production Plant and Belmedpreparaty will be among those showcasing their pharmaceutical products and drugs at the event.
The Stomatology Uzbekistan section feature the latest products for oral care and brand new implant equipment and technology.
A main feature of TIHE, known as a place for professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge, is the opportunity it offers for lively discussion and exchange of experience. Equipment demonstrations, recommendations for commissioning and use of medical technology, consultations with pharmacists, and of course, practical advice from specialists – all of this is on offer at the exhibition, and it brings about great interest from trade professionals.
Business events are an integral part of these exhibitions, and this year two major forums will take place. The first is the 9th Stomatology Uzbekistan scientific-practical conference, examining current aspects of diagnosis, treatment and disease prevention in dentistry.
The second is the Radiotherapy in Oncology International Seminar, organised for the very first time this year. This event will feature speakers from leading Belgian, German, Russian, Turkish, Czech and Swiss companies.
Delegates will include oncologists from around Uzbekistan, for whom finding out about diagnostics developments from international counterparts will be of great practical importance.
