He said that the company will invest about US$5 billion to its projects in Uzbekistan. He said that the funds will be used to construction of gas processing plant, hundreds of wells, and thousand kilometers of gas pipelines.
Andrei Kuzyayev recalled that Lukoil works on two gas projects in Uzbekistan – Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrads and Southern-Western Gissar. He said that it also conducts exploration works at Aral Sea.
He said that the Russian company will increase gas production by four times in next seven years and it will reach 17-18 billion cubic meters a year. Kuzyayev said that the company wants to produce 10 billion cubic meters of gas in Uzbekistan by 2015.
