Shop on repairing airplanes with composite materials to be created in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, a national airline of Uzbekistan, and the US company Boeing discussed issues on creation of the first regional shop on repairing large elements of airplane constructions, made from composite materials in Central Asia.
The press service of the airline said that the sides discussed issues on further expanding activities on repairing elements from composite materials and participation of Boeing in this process.
The Uzbek airline said that the US partners fully approved future premises of the shop, which was offered by Uzbekistan Airways Technics.
The airline said that Boeing specialists selected new premises of the shop from several proposed. It is expected that Boeing will provide its recommendations on composition of the shop. Boeing representatives said that they want to help Uzbek colleagues to construct new shop in line with FAA and EASA requirements.
The Uzbek company added that the sides jointly developed list of all necessary equipment, which will allow the US specialists to create project of new show with placing equipment.
Plans on launch of the regional center on repairing and maintenance of modern airplanes from composite materials in Uzbekistan were announced in June 2012.
Martin Bentrott, Vice President of Boeing Commercial Airplanes on sales in the Middle East, Central Asia and India said that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari is considering an opportunity to open a regional center on repairing and maintenance of modern airplanes from composite materials in Uzbekistan with the help of Boeing.
